...diary...

shows in Europe soon.

July 28:
As promised a couple of days ago, here is a studio update. We have recorded 5 rough tracks so far. Tommy has recorded drums for the five tracks and what can I say... Heavy as hell and he is certainly adding a new dimension to the band. Kasper and DaRic are fooling around with riffs and bass lines to fit the new songs. I have done some cue and backing vocals to make it all worse... Titles for these new tracks which are all good candidates to make the album are: "Reason To Live" "The Saint" "Lucky Man" "Be my Downfall" "Time To Let You Know".

We are also playing with the idea of recording the old Crue classic "Too Young To Fall In Love" but haven't decided on this just yet. What do you think ?

July 25th:
Well, we had a fire in our apartment the other day and our kitchen is GONE!!! We are currently staying at a local hotel and will probably have to stay here for another three weeks or so! Luckily noone was injured during the fire... A neighbour helped Rikke (my girlfirend) carrying the boys to his apartment downstairs. I was in the studio recording when I got the shocking news, I urged home to find my boys safe which was all I could think about!!! Get yourself a firealarm people...

I will give you an update on our studio progress shortly, but right now it's back to my luxury suite here at Hotel Copenhagen!

July 19th
"On the run" will be released through Marquee Avalon on august 23 and I am very excited about the release, hopefully it will do a lot better than what "Shaken..." did!

So far we have done rough demos for 7 new tracks and thisngs are till right on track. My hope is that the new album will end up having 12 to 14 tracks on it. So what can I expect I hear you say...? Well, this new album will have it all, heavy tracks (DaRic's famous drive is back big time!!!), mid tempo rockers like "Changes" and "Years That We Wasted" from previous albums and of course a ballad or two. One of the big improvements will be the strings and synths, we are not gonna go Europe, but I think we will be adding just a little more of that as a natural element in the music!

July 11th:
I just got back from another long night in the studio. Tonight we did some cue guitars on a track called "Lucky Man"... and it rocks big time!!! I am so exciting about this new stuff that I can't wait to share it with everyone out there, but I guess it will be a while before that will happen, he, he...
I have just been told that On The Run (our latest CD) is doing really well in Germany so we might do some shows there in october or november, that would really be kick ass for sure!!!

July 5th:
Sunday morning at 9 I was still in bed when my good friend Jesper was on the phone. He said: "Get out of bed and get dressed, I have 2 tickets for the EURO 2000 final, I'll pick you up in 30 minutes!" I couldn't believe what I heard, still 30 minutes later I was on my way to Rotterdam, Holland to see the final between Italy and France. We drove 1000 km in 8 hours, saw the game and drove back home. We had two hours of sleep in Hamburg on the way home, but I tell you it was a fantastic experience! 50.000 screaming football fans and a few japanese tourists (he, he), fucking amazing!!!

With the band we are hard at work in rehearsal for the shows in august in the UK and in Sweden.

July 1st:
I just woke up to the sad news that 8 people died during Pearl Jam's concert at the
Roskilde Festival here in Denmark...! Apparently some of the fans close to the stage in the 50.000 plus crowd fell and couldn't get up while people were jumping up and down.
I have been at the festival 3 times and I have never doubted the security there, I saw Motley Crue in '97 and it was fantastic... I hope the investigations will show that it wasn't security that failed, 'cos that would surely kill one of the best festivals in the world. It is sad when this happens, but with crowds this size there is always a huge risk...!

As you may have noticed I haven't commented on the EURO 2000, but I have my reasons... Denmark lost all three 1st round games without scoring a single goal. Well, there is
always another train to catch...

June 26th:
Hey, I'm back! I've been on holiday with my family, we went to a small danish island
called Bornholm. The batteries have been recharged and I'm ready to rock again.
We've got some hard work ahead of us the next 6 months. We will be playing a few shows and of course recording our new album. I will also be doing some radio interviews, check the news section for details.

June 8th:
Some might be aware of the fact that soccer means a great deal to me... And if you live in Europe, I don't have to tell you what my life will be like for the next three weeks. Denmark have of course qualified for the EURO 2000 finals in Holland and Belgium and I must admit that it puts my musical duties on hold for a while! My hopes are not too high though, but then again, I wasn't expecting too much back in '92 either when we won it so... Anyway, it's gonna be goo to sit back and relax with loads of cold ones in the fridge and some good soccer on my TV!!! It will be a good summer.

June 4th:
I get so angry when I read about that Napster affair! This is year 2000 and times are changing, well, they have already changed my friends... This is the digital age and
everyone has to learn to live with that. People will go and buy an original product if it's good enough, and no copy can ever replace the feeling of a brand new CD in your hands! Looking through the original cover booklet for the first time can not be copied... I see it this way, the fans of the music will buy the originals. The people downloading MP3's are people who wouldn't buy the originals anyway, or they want to check out if it's any good! I know that's what I'm looking for when I surf the net. Obviously I know there is a big difference in the demand for PUSH and Metallica, but seriously... What do
Metallica really have to lose, they could sit back and still sell CD's and concert tickets for the next 1000 years!!!
Well, I had to get that off my chest... c ya all later!

June 3rd:
I'm off to our studio Ghost Track in a minute (18:00 CET) to help Kasper improve our humble facilities. We have build the studio ourselves and have recorded the last two
albums in it, which makes me quite proud. We are just about to upgrade it from 16 to 32 digital tracks plus everything is organised in a better way... Hopefully that leads to better recordings in the future.
I did some cue vocals for two new tracks the other day "The Saint" & "Reason To Live" and so far it sounds awful, he, he... I have a good feeling about this!

May 31st
It's been a few days since I last posted here in my diary, but my "evil" twins have been down with a bad ear infection. They are much better now so I'm back on the internet, my second home...
Originally the new PUSH album was scheduled for may next year but we have been
creative as hell since DaRic and Tommy joined the band so we're now looking at an early 2001 release! And I promise everyone anticipating a new PUSH CD: It will kick major ass...

May 28th
I just checked the official melodic top 30 at melodicrock.com and On The Run is keeping its top 10 position. We have slipped from # 7 to # 8, but it still means that people are buying the damn thing, which is the important part!
Last night I went to a birthday party for one of my old friends, Carsten Dan, who turned 30. Need I say what Tommy, Martin, Kasper and I gave him as a present, you got it... On The Run and bottle of Jack Daniels! Should keep him busy for the rest of the weekend!

May 25th
I have been in the studio all day working on some new stuff so I'm totally wasted!
My boys are almost walking so I guess it's time to get the soccer ball rolling... Well, I'm not up for it tonight, but I'm back tomorrow!

May 24th:

I am a true rock and roll fan myself, I need it like a fix every day! Tonight I downloaded the Motley Crue single "Hell On High Heels" and it kicks a nice ass. I don't think the verse is the best I've heard, but the chorus really got me singing along. And it works as a great motivator for me to see that my idols can still kick it!
Tomorrow I will be in the studio working on some string arrangements with my good friend Anthony who also did the strings on "One Reason" and "Waitin'". It's still very early stages but I have a feeling that this new album will be the best we have delivered so far. DaRic's guitar playing is so aggressive and mean and I think it gives us the edge back.

May 23rd:
I've had rougher days in my life... Even though I've been down with a cold so most of the day was spent in bed. My two boys have been ill too but they were running around like crazy today so I guess they're doing ok!
I have written a bunch of new songs already for the next PUSH album and as I said yesterday we have begun recordings last week. Song titles so far include: "Reason To Live" "Time To Let You Know" "Lucky Man" and "The Saint". We are also on the lookout for a song to cover, it has become a tradition to spice up an old favourite and give it new life. There is one we're considering at the moment, but we'll keep that a secret a little while yet...!

May 22nd:
So, this is the first time I write in the diary! What can I say, if you read this I wanna thank you for stopping by my brand new web page. On here you will find stuff that has a more personal character than what is at the PUSH site. It will be centered around the band, but some personal stuff will probably sneak its way in here as well.

We are about to sign a new contract with Z Records and we have just
begun recordings for our 4th CD which, if everything goes according to plan, will hit the streets in may 2001.

I will try to write a few lines in this diary every day, so if you're sad enough to wanna know what I am up to please be welcome to check back!!!
